HOW IS IT TREATED?
THERAPEUTIC WHOLE BODY TREATMENT
Myofascial Release therapy is a whole body treatment approach using hands-on stretching and sustained pressure into myofascial restrictions. Dynamic movement therapy moves your body into whatever three dimensional positions your body needs in order to release myofascial restrictions and restore fluidity in your body. Fascial restrictions can occur with bracing against pain and not using normal movement. It can also occur unconsciously with bracing against stress and emotions. Pain and emotional memories are not only stored in our thoughts but unconsciously in fascial tissues. Memory patterns of pain and patterns of bracing against stress and emotions can remain and prolong pain. It is therefore very important to be tuned in to your body and notice and feel what you are experiencing during treatment with your therapist and during self treatment. Myofascial release treatments are one hour duration of hands-on physical therapy and instruction in self treatment.
